Lend a hand on a Sunday
Volunteering is a great way to be part of something new, meet people and pick up skills. Even the occasional Sunday helps, and there's no minimum commitment.
Event ambassadors
Welcome visitors, answer questions and help people find their way around.
Social media team
Capture photos and clips and help grow the market's online community.
Children's activities
Support workshops, crafts and family-friendly fun on market days.
Event operations
Help with set-up, breakdown, trader sign-in and the running of the day.
Community reporter
Interview traders and visitors and write short features for the blog.

Working with the town, not against it
The market is built to support the wider town, not compete with it. We work alongside local shops, businesses, suppliers and events to help strengthen the local economy.
A visit should feel like part of a wider day out, taking in the independent shops, the cafés and pubs, the riverside walks and whatever else is on. We line up with local events and seasonal activity across Beccles wherever we can.

Bring the soundtrack to Sunday
Live music and street performance are a big part of the atmosphere. We keep the guidelines simple so it stays relaxed for everyone.
To play, register on LocalStalls before the Sunday you'd like to perform. Tell us your name, the kind of performance and where you'd like to set up, and we'll confirm a spot.
Permitted during market hours, 9am – 3pm.
The short version
- No street performance licence needed, but please register with the team first
- Acoustic is preferred. Low-volume amplification is fine if it doesn't overpower the market
- No PA systems or large speaker rigs without prior agreement
- Donations are welcome, with a clearly labelled box or case and no hard selling
- Performers under 14 must be with a responsible adult at all times
